This Giza Pyramids half day private tour gives you the plateau in four hours without a rushed feel. An Egyptologist collects you from your hotel in Cairo or Giza and drives you to the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, and the Great Sphinx, which has watched the plateau for around 4,500 years.

On the way your guide explains how the pyramids were built, what they were for, and what the kings buried there expected of eternity. There is free time to walk, a stop at the panoramic viewpoint where all three pyramids line up for the photograph, and a last stop at the Sphinx before you are driven back.

Entrance to the plateau is included. Going inside a pyramid and a camel ride are optional extras, paid on the day if you want them. The half day suits travellers with a flight to catch, families with young children, or anyone planning to spend a separate day at the Grand Egyptian Museum. If you want the museum on the same day, the full-day private tour pairs them.

How long is the tour?

Can I go inside a pyramid?

Yes, with an extra ticket bought on the day. It is not included in the price.

How much does it cost for my group?

What should I wear?
