This day trip crosses the Eastern Desert from Hurghada to Luxor and back in a single day. It is long, with an early start and several hours on the road each way, and it is the most booked way to see ancient Thebes from the Red Sea.

On the east bank the day begins at Karnak, the temple city of Amun. On the west bank it goes to the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs of the New Kingdom were buried, to the terraced Temple of Hatshepsut and past the Colossi of Memnon.

An Egyptologist guides you in Luxor, with air-conditioned transport throughout. Tickets, lunch and which tombs are open are confirmed in your quote. If you can spare a night, staying in Luxor lets you see more with less time on the road; we can arrange that instead.
