Why this route
A diving holiday begins with a choice, not a dive-site list. A first supervised dive is not an Open Water certificate; PADI's course guidance makes clear that certification depends on training and demonstrated skills.
The Red Sea also offers different kinds of stay. A walkable Dahab base is not the same experience as a resort on another part of the coast, and even within one destination the exact hotel, beach access and boat departure point change the day. The Egyptian Tourism Authority's coast guide is a place-level starting point, not a recommendation of a particular property or dive team.

The honest trade-offs
- Boat days are long; too many in a row turn a holiday into logistics.
- Wildlife sightings, weather and qualification outcomes are never guaranteed.
- A companion who does not dive needs a plan of their own, not just a sunbed.
