How we would run it, as a couple
- Private guide & driver. Best for families, deeper questions and flexible pacing. Higher cost, but the clearest control over timing and stops.
- Multi-day itineraries. Best for first visits combining Cairo and Upper Egypt. Domestic flights cost more but can protect meaningful time at the places you came to see.
- Nile cruises. Best for connecting Luxor, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan. Schedules can change; compare time ashore, vessel details and included visits.
- Snorkelling & diving. Best for reef days from Hurghada or Sharm. Ask about equipment, marine fees, boat capacity and actual water time.
