    What happens

    1. A briefing on the ship, its cargo and the night it sank, before you enter the water.
    2. Descend the line to the wreck with a guide who knows its current.
    3. See the cargo in the holds: motorcycles, trucks and the parts of a war supply run.
    4. A second dive or a surface interval to go over what you saw.

    What it asks of you

    A diving certification at a level suited to about 30 m, recent experience and comfort in current. We ask for your certificate and log, and so will the dive centre.

    What happens

    1. Learn to breathe up, relax and equalise in theory and shallow water.
    2. Hold a two-minute static breath-hold with an instructor beside you.
    3. Dive down a line in open water, turn, and come back up on the same breath.
    4. Practise rescuing a buddy, because freedivers never dive alone.

    What it asks of you

    Water confidence more than fitness, and a medical statement. Hardest of all is learning to relax.

    1. Choose the beach before the course, using our guide.
    2. Learn kite control on the beach, then body-drag in the water.
    3. Work towards the water start, at the pace the wind allows.
    4. Finish with a record of the level you reached.

    What it asks of you

    Balance, strength in the core and legs, and days: wind decides how quickly you progress.
